Morpeth FC have revealed their plans for Wembley. The Northumberland club will leave their ground this morning, stop for a training session at Nottingham Forest, then travel onto their base at Watford.
On Saturday morning they will have another training session before going into London to meet up with some of their supporters.
Morpeth will be without midfielder Maty Halmbiec and defender Dickie Hiftle. Both will miss the Final with knee ligament damage. Other injury concerns lie with Shaun Henderson (
thigh strain) and James Novak (knee).
"This is the biggest game in
Morpeth Town’s long 132 year history," chairman Ken Beattie told the Morpeth Herald.
"I think it is now sinking in as
to the magnitude of the match with everyone associated with the club.
“We
are preparing to play in front of the biggest FA Vase crowd since the
competition’s conception and for the first time the match will be
covered live on TV beaming worldwide.
“We are playing a Phoenix
club in Hereford with an amazing following and we, of course, are
playing at the home of football in Wembley.”
Morpeth expect to have over 4,000 supporters at Wembley.
