Mike Symons |
Hereford striker Mike Symons was in the right place at the right time to have been able to score the winning goal at Dunkirk this afternoon.
"I think I scored with the last kick of the game," Symons told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"We kept going to the end but performance wise may be not as fluid as we have been in recent weeks.
"But we kept pushing them and we got that little chance at the end and managed to get the goal and win the game."
Symons talked through his goal.
A Rob Purdie Corner Goes Over Jamie Willets |
To Ryan Green |
"A corner at the end, good ball in by Purds, Greener's headed it, it dropped down to me and I managed to poke it in.
Symons Pokes It In |
"I don't know whether Greener's header was going in, it looked like it was going wide.
Celebration Time |
"Right place, right time and a little toe poke and three points."
How crucial could those goal be in Hereford's season?
"We might look back on those three points at the end of the season because it's very tight at the top or we could be looking back and think that goal at the death has helped us in our main aim of getting promoted."
