It's Alvechurch Tomorrow

The Dug-Outs And Players Entrance At Alvechurch - Picture From The Mowdog On The Road
Hereford FC are off to Alvechurch tomorrow for a Midland Premier League table-topping clash, kick-off 3pm.

Yesterday whilst Hereford were putting seven past lowly Bardon Hill, Alvechurch took a long time to seal their three points against Heanor who had a man sent off.

The pitch at Alvechurch isn't in very good condition and if there is more heavy rain before kick-off ( the Met Office is currently suggesting heavy rain in the early hours of Monday morning ) could be quite difficult to play any sort of passing game as favoured by Hereford manager Peter Beadle.

No doubt he will look at the state of the pitch before deciding on his starting eleven.

Alvechurch have an excellent home record, something which Hereford's football secretary Martin Watson readily admits.

"It's their home game regardless of how many fans we are going to have there," Watson told BN.

"It's their home game and they should be expected to win their home games."

Meanwhile parking remains an issue for supporters travelling to the game.

Here's some thoughts from an Alvechurch supporter.

'I think the police are only restricting parking close to the ground so prob from 200m either side of the ground you will be able to park on the Redditch road. Wide road so plenty of space to park. The best option though is to park in the village which is 10mins walk to the ground. Again generally no restrictions on roads so supporters won't have a problem if they don't mind walking 10-15mins.

'Best drinking pub close to the ground is the Swan (10mins). Train is a possibilty too. 1hr 15m to Bromsgrove and only 5 miles in a taxi so if in a group is another option'
