As well as speaking to the 'press' after yesterday's game at Hartley, Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle later spoke to Five Live's Non-League Show.
Firstly he was asked if the game was closer than the score line suggested.
"It certainly was first half," said Beadle.
"We went in 1-0 at half time and it was quite a close game.
"Both teams I thought were exceptional given the conditions, it's been extremely windy today. Players can handle the rain and muddy pitches but when the wind gets up it does make it a bit of a lottery.
"Second half we scored two very early goals and it made things a little bit easier and we managed to see the game through to the end."
Hereford will face Camberley Town at Edgar Street in the quarter finals on February 20th.
"We don't know too much about them now."
It was then revealed to Beadle that the Camberley gaffter had been on the show last week. 'There's your lesson!'
"We are very fortunate, we have got a lovely chap who will go and watch them play before we play them.
"They are also in the same league as Hartley so we know we're going to get a tough game. I think they beat them 3-1 recently.
"We've done great to get where we are and we are at home in the next round which is always a bonus.
"Hopefully we can get a big crowd in and they can follow us to another victory if possible."
Given Hereford's rough road recently do days like this make it all a bit more worthwhile?
"Without a doubt, we've been very fortunate with the support base and fan base. They have been exceptional right through the season.
"We're on a fantastic run of results at the moment and today again they didn't let us down. I think probably 90% of the attendance today were travelling Hereford fans.
"It has been rough but hopefully we can give them something to sing about as the season progresses and gets to the key stage now where we're challenging in four competitions.
"We're at the back end of them now and we have the run in to the League as well. If we can maintain it, it will be a fantastic season but we know we have a great amount of work to do to get to that goal at the end."
Hereford are leading the Midland Prem by ten points.
"We are but Alvechurch have got games in hand and if they win their games in hand they will be a point ahead of us.
"I rather have played the games and have the points on the board already and we played Alvechurch two weeks ago in front of 4000 fans in the Midland League which was a bit surreal. It was a great game which finished 1-1.
"So it's still close but we're happy with the points on the board. We've still got to play Alvechurch again so hopefully we can maintain what we are doing at the moment."
