We'll Be Pushing Hereford All The Way Says Alvechurch Manager

Alvechurch manager Ian Long has told the Bromsgrove Advertiser that his club will be pushing Hereford all the way in the promotion race in the Midland Premier League.

Alvechurch's game last Saturday was called off so they are now have six games in hand over leaders Hereford.

 "We had a feeling that Saturday's game would be off but it didn't make it any easier to take," said Long.

"We had this situation when we won the league with Tividale and we were playing three games a week for six weeks.

"But we didn't have a side like Hereford going on a great run.

"But we'll be pushing them all the way and there's still a lot of games to be played."

As reported earlier on BN, Alvechurch are due to play a Cup game tomorrow evening at Bilston before an away game at Cleethorpes in the FA Vase on Saturday. 

Should either or both of these games be called off it will put even more pressure on Alvechurch.
