Talks have started between Herefordshire Council and Hereford FC about an extension to the lease on the ground.
The current agreement is for just five years. However the club are seeking to extend the lease to twenty five years.
"We want to stay at Edgar Street. This is the home of Hereford FC and lets try and get a bit of security over our future in terms of the confidence to spend a bit of money."
"If we could get an extension of twenty five years I think we will be absolutely delighted," chairman Jon Hale told BN recently.

After the meeting the following joint statement was released.
‘We have, today, held a very productive joint meeting to discuss the possible extension of Hereford FC’s lease on Edgar Street.
‘Further meetings will follow in the coming months.’
