UITC Weekend Results

Hereford U12s 8 - 0 South Gloucester U15s

(Coached by George Leyshon-James and Laura Davies) The U12s continued their recent excellent form beating a good South Gloucester team 8-0 at Belmont Abbey!! Hereford started the game in an 'all out attack' mentality and found themselves 5-0 up within 20 minutes. South Gloucester developed into the game after the shock of the first 20 minutes but couldn't find a way through the Hereford defence. Hereford went on to score 3 more goals finishing the game at 8-0. Goals coming from a number of players, most notably a hat trick from Josh Phillips!! Well done boys!! Our youngest Academy team who have really developed since pre-season... Keep it up!!

Gloucester City U15s 0 - 9 Hereford U15s

(Coached by Liam Brewer) Another excellent performance from our very promising U15 squad in very difficult conditions today. After a disappointing defeat to Worcester City last week, it was important the players responded well against Gloucester City. The team did exactly that, comfortably winning the game 9-0, dominating the game from the 1st minute to the last minute. Goals from Oliver Purdy, Joe Mellars, Jake Spink and a hat-trick from Liam Bishop and Luke Marston!! Most notably Luke Marston who scored his hat-trick in 25 minutes after returning from injury after 5 weeks out! Hereford took a large squad of 17 players with all players contributing to this great result. Some outstanding individual performances  and importantly a very good team performance. A squad developing, learning and producing positive performances!! Well done lads, keep it up!

U13s, U14s and U16s

Unfortunately our U13s and U14s games were postponed due to weather. But it was great to see so many of these players at the first team game, some as supporters and many of them as ball boys!! The U13s also had a very positive training session in the morning at Belmont abbey with  coaches Steve Saunders and Dan Chance. The U16s had a weekend off with some players involved in the County U18s representative team game against Jersey FA. They look forward to a big fixture next week at Victoria Park against Cirencester Town in the JPL Cup.
