One of the teams Hereford hasn't yet met this season in the Midland League is Alvechurch.
The Warwickshire based side are expected to be challenging for promotion at the end of the season and there are those who feel the race for top-spot will be between them and Hereford.
Alvechurch play Coventry Sphinx in the Midland League Cup on November 30th. Assuming Alvechurch win, which on paper at least looks likely, it would set up a great tie between the two favourites for promotion which is set to take place on December 15th at Edgar Street.
In the League the teams don't meet until January 23rd at Alvechurch and March 28th at Edgar Street.
Footnote: It's not set in stone that the Midland League Cup Tie will take place on December 15th. It could depend on Hereford's progress in the FA Vase.
Assuming Hereford defeat Haughmond next Saturday, the next round of the FA Vase is on December 12th. Should Hereford meet a team that wants a replay as opposed to a result on the day (Haughmond have opted for a result on the day) then any replay will be on December 15th which would mean the Midland League cup-tie would have to be rearranged.
