Watson To Stand Down From HUST Board

HUST vice-chairman Martin Watson is to stand down from the HUST board as soon as elections are completed. He told the HUST AGM of his decision during tonight's meeting.

"I'm going to stand down from the HUST board at the election night which could be in two months but probably a little bit later than that once all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed," Watson told BN after the meeting ended.

"I will remain a member of HUST, I've already paid.

"Basically now the AGM has taken place the two people who were going to resign at the AGM have done so that's been effectively enforced so the current board doesn't have a right under the constitution to continue.

"So the only two things it can do is call the election and organise meetings.

"The standard functions we do will continue, the 50/50 draw on matchdays, the prize Bull draw will continue because those are exsisting functions.

"But we will not be taking on new functions, we can't talk to our members about having votes on X, Y and Z.

"Our sole purpose effectively will be the election."

Watson also confirmed that HUST now hold £50,000 shares in HUST
