Peter Beadle Pleased With The Win At Pershore |
Hereford FC won their first ever cup game 1-0 at Pershore. Jamie Willets was the oldest in Beadle's squad and he's 23.
"When you bring in two 17 year olds at full backs in a game like that, I thought they were excellent," Beadle told BN.
"Young Matt who came upfront didn't have much time to show, but he showed he's willing and got himself into some good positions and he was brave to get on the ball.
"Carlos we know what he is about and I thought Tom, I think that's his first competitive game with us, was excellent up front. Big, strong, powerful, he was a threat.
"Max came in, hasn't played for a while, looked accomplished.
"Ben, his first game for a few weeks, lacked a bit of fitness but done well to last 90 minutes.
"So overall you can't complain, we've won 1-0 and we've blooded some of the young boys and they looked very accomplished so it been a win win for us tonight."
Harvey Rivers in goal had little to do.
"Two corners early on, one hit the bar and he got his hand to the first one.
"Actual shots probably none, that's testament to the way the players played, I thought they were excellent in position. Very accomplished on the ball, they moved it well, stuck with the philosophy we're looking to use
"So it shows that they could possibly in the very near future if needed they could step into the first team. They slotted in perfectly tonight, didn't look out of place at all."
