Chairman of UITC, Nick Vaughan, has said that applications for football scholarship places are welcome.
"Our Tutor Adam Jones is still welcoming
applications for the Football Scholarship but places are now filling up
fast," Vaughan told BN."This is fantastic opportunity for any young person who has a passion for football but who is also keen to continue their studies to a high standard. This BTEC provides a perfect platform to go onto a number of different careers within the world of sport - or to advance their studies at University.
"The teaching takes places at the Robert Owen School with training taking place four times per week at Victoria Park in Hereford. Matches are on a Wednesday.
"Training is led by our Head Coach Steve Brotherwood supported by former Hereford United player Gary Stevens. Where the need arises we also enlist the expertise of our Physiotherapist Jonny Evans.
