Step 6 side Hinckley AFC have announced the signings of former Jon Taylor duo Deqwon Ebanks and Javia Roberts. Hitchin Town are angry after the Charity Commission found their landlords broke charity rules but have decided to take no action over the proposed development of Top Field that threatened the club's existence.

Shepshed Dynamo won 2-0 at Step 6 side Heather St Johns in their opening pre-season game. New signing Lee Miveld scored the second. Eugen Bopp debuted for Dunkirk in their 6-1 win over Step 7 side Cotgrave. They had defender Billy Bennett stretchered off after a bad challenge, with a subsequent X-ray revealing no break but damaged ligaments.

Coventry Sphinx beat Step 6 Racing Club Warwick 3-0 in their friendly on Tuesday night. Ashton United have stated that several of their squad from last season are under investigation from the FA over betting offences. The Northern Premier League side say they are fully co-operating with the investigation.
