A vacancy has opened up in Step 4 after Clevedon Town lost an appeal against a ground grading failure.
A Southern League statement reads:
Clevedon Town, whose ground was certified as ungraded following the failure of their floodlights to meet the standard required, today lost their Appeal to the FA against the League’s decision that they be relegated.
Discussions have commenced with the FA as to how the vacancy created in Division One South & West can best be filled. League Chairman Ken Turner warns that as many as seven clubs could be involved in the consequent re-shuffle.
