United In The Community have today confirmed the
appointments of Dr Chris Frith and Justin Ratcliffe onto its Board of
Trustees. The Trust is also currently recruiting for a Trustee to
oversee its financial affairs.
Nick Vaughan, Chairman of UITC, said: “I am
delighted that both Chris and Justin have joined the board as we
continue to put plans in place for next season”. He added: “There is a
huge amount of work to do over the weeks and months– not
least sharpening up our back office-functions and putting in place a
sustainable budget for the year ahead. I hope there will be some more
trustee appointments to announce before our next Board meeting in July -
in addition to confirming our coaching roster
for next season.”
An FA Pitch Assessment is also being conducted
at UITC’s two training facilities – Victoria Park and Belmont. The
outcome of this will guide a tender process for a new ground maintenance
contract which will commence in July. On this, Vaughan
said: “Our current contractor Mowtech have done a good job in
maintaining our pitches over the years. However, in the spirit of
transparency and best practice we are inviting Mowtech to re-tender for
the work in addition to other, local companies”
In other developments, UITC are currently
installing new advertising boards and dugouts at its Victoria Park base.
