Jon Taylor made six changes to the starting line up with rumours of non-payment of wages causing players to walk out not being quashed by the club. Loan signing Delroy Gordon debuted in defence, with Sam Akinde back after suspension for Leroy Griffiths.
Histon made the brighter start but had to endure late pressure as the visitors hit the woodwork twice. Tommy Agombar was in attendance, sat some way away from Andy Lonsdale.
