Hereford United chairman David Keyte has given an interview to Trevor Owens, sports editor BBC Hereford and Worcester, about the possibility of fresh investment in the club.
"There are three potential investors or consortiums," said Keyte.
"I was in London on Tuesday and meet two of them, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
"And it is that sort of slowly, slowly discussions, clarification of what's needed and figures and actually from our side proof of funding.
"I can talk all day to people but if they haven't got £300K then they are not going to be any more use to us than the current set-up.
"So there were two on Tuesday and strangely I had a call last night (Wednesday) from a group that have gone a bit cold who has said they are ready to come back in and talk about it.
"And of course the property deals are the attraction.
"We are looking for people to put some £300K into sorting out the football club's immediate issues and look forward to next season.
"Good investors are looking how to get their money back and that's where the property opportunity comes into play.
"Both the parties on Tuesday were, I would say, football first before the property. And both parties have been in and around football previously.
"They would be absolutely fine for us, the door would be open but it is getting some sort of evidence they can do it."
What would happen to the present board, would they wipe the slate clean?
"It is a bit of a mixture, the one group if I could describe it as quite aggressive though normal business, you've done your money and you're all out, through to discussions recognising that we are in Hereford, we are out on a limb. If it's a London consortium funding it how are they going to keep the club going daily and a recognition that there is a part to play for the people who are doing the running around now.
"So a bit of a mix, a lot of discussion going on.
"But they do have a deadline that we've got to work to that we want this sorted yes or no in the next three or four weeks."
Owens then asked Keyte if he was 'cautiously optimistic or optimistic'.
"I've been criticised before for saying too much too early so I've been determinedly trying not to on this but I've got my fingers crossed."
