Graham: "Playing For Pride"

Referee Amy Fearn Leads The Players Onto The Pitch
Bulls captain Luke Graham spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester about the goings on at the club over the past week:

"I could probably write a book about it, and it would probably sell quite well I would imagine. Changes, obviously, have been made. The players have said what they wanted to say. That was our players' statement on the website.

"It was our idea. A few journalism skills from a few lads got put together and we're all behind that statement. It was a game of two halves really with the wind, but you could see our togetherness in the second half and, on another day we'd get a goal back and get something out of the game.

"We've got to build on that second half performance and, to be honest with you, I'm absolutely delighted with the boys. It's well documented what's going on and they'll still put bodies on the line and they will do until the end of the season.

"We're all in it together, and that's great for the club."

Asked about the managerial change: "Everyone knows I get on really well with Martin Foyle and Andy Porter. Obviously sad to see them go, know how much work they had done to get this club on the right path.

"When I re-signed in the summer the idea was to keep building, getting young players in the building, a bit more money in January and build for a play-off push next season. It's not just the management that has changed, the whole remit of the club has changed.

"I'm pleased that everything has come out in the open, for me that's closure. Ok, we're not getting paid and we're not going to get a lot of money to the end of the season. We will end up being owed quite a lot of money. That's well documented.

"It's difficult for people. We're rallying round each other. Whatever drips and drabs of money that comes in we'll liaise with the players and the ones that need it most will get that money."

"We've got to keep playing for pride, which we are. There's been clubs in this situation, like Grays, Weymouth, Kettering, Histon, and they've all gone out without a whimper and being thrashed every week."
