Hereford United director Dave Preedy doesn't miss many games, home or away, but his absence was noted last Saturday at Luton.
However given today's front page article in the Hereford Journal, it looks as though a big pothole might have been the reason as it has given Preedy a headache since last Wednesday.
Preedy owns Express Bathrooms which is based on the Rotherwas Estate. Because of the recent wet weather an eight inch pothole has appeared on the main access from Hereford into the Estate and the road has had to be closed.
"The road floods all the time anyway so we are used to the road being closed for a couple of hours but this is really bad, it's killing business," Preddy told the Journal.
"It decimated our business on Saturday. Usually on a Saturday we take about £20K but it was nowhere near that this Saturday.
"The weather can't be helped but the problem is we don't know when the work to re-open the road will be completed."
Engineers were due to look at the pothole today to determine 'a course of action which is appropiate'.
