Nuneaton boss Kevin Wilkin is looking for his players to put on a better performance tonight to the one on Saturday.
The Boro beat Dartford 2-1 at the weekend but had to hold on at times after racing into an early two goal lead. Wilkin told the press that the team's 'character' earned them the points:
“With everything that’s gone on over the last couple of weeks it was important to get our focus and start at a good tempo, which we did.
“We then showed the necessary character to see it through. There were patches of the game where we were very good and there were too many patches of the game where we weren’t so good.
“We weren’t as free flowing as we have been in recent weeks. At 2-0 we should have been home and dry in the first half. We weren’t though and that’s when you look at people’s character to take the three points, which we’ve done in the end.”
Speaking about the Bulls, Wilkin dismissed the run of two losses: “Hereford are no mugs. They’ve had a couple of poor results but they are a strong side. I know I keep saying it, but the moment you take anything for granted in this league you’ll lose.”
Wilkin has no new problems for tonight's game, with the only possible change being in goal. Loanee Dimitar Evtimov missed last week's match as he was on international duty, with James Belshaw retaining his place at the weekend. However, Belshaw was guilty of an error in gifting Dartford their goal and may be dropped.
