The Football League have released the latest figures on how much it's club paid to agents last season. £21.5million leaked out of the game last season, with over 85% of it coming from Championship clubs who spent an average of £44,000 to agents in transactions that involved a payment. Seven teams paid no money to agents, including Blackpool and Crewe.
Braintree have allowed midfielder Nicky Symonds to join Bishops Stortford. The 25 year old decided that the travelling involved in getting to the Iron was too much. Hinckley United are the subject of another winding up order. The troubled side is being taken to court by a pension fund, linked to former chairman Kevin Downes, which owns the main stand at the ground. The debt is reported to be around £130,000 made up of a loan and rent on the stand.
The Footy Law blog (link) has placed Freedom of Information requests to a string of councils that could host a new Coventry stadium. All seven councils says they have not had any 'formal discussions' with any party over building a new stadium. The club say they have identified two sites and, according to the blog, are expected to announce one of those sites within two weeks.
Farnborough have been refused permission to have their players play under assumed names as part of a bookmaker sponsorship. The dismal Irish bookie has still stumped up the £100,000 bond to keep the club in Conf South and have seen the Cherrywood Road ground renamed. Worcester say they have now sold over 600 season tickets for the current season.
Wrexham defender Mark Creighton has been ruled out for six weeks with a hamstring injury. The 31 year old played only four times with a knee problem and has made only two appearances so far this term.
