The sale of Aldershot, and their participation in the coming campaign, is set to be confirmed in the next few days.
A statement last night confirmed that a deal had finally been agreed for the consortium headed by club chairman Shahid Azeem to take the club over. The deal, worth close to £700,000, is conditional on the Conference accepting the terms on offer with the Administrator set to meet officials later this week.
The announcement hasn't stopped the club shedding further players, with youth team duo Adam Brice and Reece Beekles-Richards - the last youth players remaining at the club - being released by manager Andy Scott after brief appearances in a behind closed doors friendly. The pair are reported to be joined out the exit door by youth coach Terry Boyle.
