Luton trialled Graham Hutchison and Aman Verma in their friendly match last night. Hutchison is a former Birmingham defender who spent time on loan at Lincoln, while Verma has had spells with Darlington, Kettering, and Mansfield before a stint in Maltese football. Cambridge have loaned defender Scott Garner to Conf North side Boston until January. The 23 year old was transfer listed last month after spending part of last season with Lincoln.
Former Bulls midfielder Jon Wallis has left Dartford after asking to be released from his contract for work and personal reasons. The 27 year old spent the last two seasons with the Darts and agreed a new deal only in May. The Chester-Wrexham derby match on August 31st is expected to be the fifth televised match announced by BT Sport after Police said they had no objection to the game being moved.
Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous has been accused of "breathtaking cheek" by Wealdstone in their dispute over rights to play at The Hive. Stones director Quentin Fox told the local press Kleanthous had failed to disclose terms to the club, saying the Bees wanted 50% of the running costs but total control of the site. Cambridge are trialling winger Micah Evans and midfielder Merrick James-Lewis. Evans, 20, was released by Blackburn and had a loan at Macclesfield last season, while James-Lewis, 21, had time at Ebbsfleet last term.
