Martin Foyle Pitchside This Afternoon - Picture From Andy Compton Of The Hereford Journal |
"Three points fantastic, the rest of the ninety minutes shocking," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I can't defend that. It was clueless
"I take the blame for it, I put the side out.
"I made two substitutions at half-time to give us a wake-up call."
The Hereford United manager made the point that several players had been ill this week and both he and Andy Porter had been sick this morning.
"But it did look a lacklustre, tired, weak performance without any thought in the game.
"If I was a punter paying money today I'd certainly want my money back."
Barrow took the lead when James Bitner made a bad mistake.
"You do things on the training pitch. You say things don't go back on our pitch, don't go sideways, don't be negative.
"First twenty minutes what do we do exactly what I've been telling them not to do.I'll take the blame on somethings but not on that one.
"It's gone it the back of the net, Bitts could have been sent off, anything could have happened."
Hereford equalised after a hand ball close to the goal-line.
"It gave us a life-line.
"Foward play, I've never seen us off-side so many times. Hold-up play second half was even worse. The midfield was slow in possession. Not one positive thing."
Foyle took off Chris Sharp and Chris Carruthers at half-time.
"Anyone could have come off at half-time. Sharp had run the most up-front, Marlon didn't get involved until 35 minutes. Clucs didn't get in the game but he works hard.
"We were poor in possession, we didn't really join in. Musa had been ill all week so I put Joe on with fresh legs."
