The Beast In Waiting At Carlisle

Former Hereford United striker Mathieu Manset has signed for Carlisle but can't play for them this afternoon as all the papers required to confirm his move haven't yet arrived.

The beast was last registered with FC Sion and the Swiss FA.

“I can’t wait to play. Every night I’m thinking about it," Manset told the News and Star.

“I’m thinking will I play Saturday, or the next game, with my new team-mates?

“I think English football is the best for me, because of the size of my body and the way I am.

“I am a big striker, strong, and I like to hold the ball up front. And also a bit tricky – I like to run with the ball.”

Two other former Hereford United players are also in the news.

Paul Parry, now with Shrewsbury, and his wife have launched Parry Property Management to work with landlords across the county on their rented houses.

And former loanee at Edgar Street, Tom Nichols, has joined Dorchester on loan from Exeter.
