Only 14 Players Trained This Morning

Only 14 Hereford United players were fit enough to train this morning according to manager Martin Foyle.

It's not known whether this number included former player Craig Jones whom the Hereford Times said was with the squad today.

A virus type illness started to affect players, such as Ryan Bowman, ten days ago and is still causing problems.

"There are one or two others who have got it now," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"You find that even if you are at home with three kids someone is going to get it then pass it around.

"It's on its way around, as long as me and Ports don't get it we're okay.

"It's a little bit of a problem, we've trained with 14 this morning."

Meanwhile supporters are reminded that they can get reduced admission, up to £6, to the Hyde game next Saturday week if they retain their ticket stub from this Saturday's game against Barrow.

"We're aware that times are hard financially for everybody," director Dave Preedy told the Hereford Journal.

"We felt that with two home games on consecutive Saturdays we should try and offer a deal for our regular fans to save some money."
