News Round-Up


Former Bull Stuart Watkiss has left his role as Assistant Manager at Stockport by mutual consent due to ill health. The former Mansfield and Kidderminster boss is reported to have been ill for the last two weeks, and only has a contract for a further five weeks. Under Watkiss and boss Darije Kalezic, the Hatters have gone six games without a win after two wins from their first three matches.

Current Nuneaton boss Kevin Wilkin has been linked to the vacancy at Telford. He is reported in the local press as being 'ready to move on' after six and a half years at the Boro, with the club's board down to just one member. Kidderminster have handed new two year deals to midfielder Kyle Storer and goalkeeper Danny Lewis. Both have been regulars over the last 18 months under Steve Burr.

Telford are reported to still be subsidising the wages of defender Jordan Rose after he made a loan move to Alfreton yesterday. The Reds had made a cash bid for the player in January, but had competition for his services this week. The Bucks have handed assistant manager Alex Meechan a playing contract, and also signed youth team striker James O'Neil to first team forms due to shortages in their squad.

Forest Green have signed young striker Wes Burns from Bristol City on a months loan. The 18 year old has made four appearances from the bench for the Championship side, and is a Wales u21 international. Stockport have signed defender Keiran Charnock on loan from Fleetwood until the end of the season. The 28 year old spent the first half of the season on loan at Macclesfield, making 14 appearances, before making one start and two sub appearances for Fleetwood.
