Two further directors have quit Nuneaton, leaving just one man left on the board.
That man, Ian Neale, insists there is no problem at the club despite Richard Dean and Kevin Harris-James quitting within hours of chairman Neil Hodgson leaving.
Dean will remain as Club Secretary with Neale insisting there is no rush to appoint new faces but he is seeking new investment. Hodgson's company is one of the club's main sponsors, but Neale denies his departure has had any financial impact but has admitted to the local press that they face a monthly battle to cover the wage bill:
“It’s time to take stock. There’s no rush to make new appointments. For the club to move forward we need significant investment. The aim is to stay in the Conference first and foremost.
“No money has been taken out the club with changes on the board. It’s difficult to stay in the league as we’ve got one of the smallest budgets.
“We aren’t in trouble. It’s difficult to find the wages on a month-to-month basis but that has been the case for a long time and is the case at a lot of clubs where you don’t have the most regular income streams."
