Hereford United winger Marley Watkins is a doubt for Saturday's game against Grimsby at Edgar Street.
In the game against Ebbsfleet last Saturday Watkins was subbed in the 79th minute.
And last Tuesday evening at Rodney Parade, he received a knock just before half-time. Whilst he played the remainder of the game, it was obvious he was carrying an injury.
"Marley showed character there," said manager Martin Foyle after the Newport game.
"Many players would have limped off at half-time but he carried on."
Brian Smikle is expected to replace Watkins.
