The deadline for transfers ahead of the August window closing is at 11pm on Friday night.
The Conference have, surprisingly, flexible rules on signings compared to those that caught the Bulls out 18 months ago. Rob Purdie's arrival on a permanent deal was not registered early enough in the day for him to be eligible for the following day's game at Torquay, and cost the Bulls three much wanted points.
Conference rules dictate that players can be signed on just four hours ahead of the scheduled kick-off, as in Brian Smikle's case last weekend, so any player signed on Friday night will be eligible for Saturday's game as long as the Conference office fax machine doesn't run out of paper.
Saturday's opponents Grimsby have extended the loan deal of defender Nathan Pond until the January window, and have also revealed they have rejected an offer from a League club for striker Anthony Elding.
