New Macclesfield physio, and Bulls legend, Mel Pejic has spoken to their official site about their opening fixtures.
The Silkmen open up with a visit to Edgar Street before entertaining Wrexham, with Pejic having put in 30 years of service between the two clubs:
"I spent a long time at both Hereford and Wrexham over the
years so it's funny how the fixture list has thrown that up. I had a
really good ten or eleven years down at Hereford and played a lot of
football there, and really enjoyed it.
"Then
I moved on to Wrexham and played a few seasons there, and got into
physiotherapy and spent a long time in the back room there during a
really good time for the club, getting into the First Division and
starting the academy as well as moving to new training facilities, it
was a fantastic time. So I might get to see a few familiar faces in
those two games and hopefully I'll be able to give them a bit of stick!"
The 53 year old spent last season with Bolton before being axed from their staff as part of the cost-cutting following relegation.
