Macclesfield scrape win in final PSF

The Silkmen, who face The Bulls on Friday evening at Edgar Street in the season opener faced Northern Premier League outfit FC United of Manchester at the Moss Rose this afternoon in their final warm-up match.

Goals from Barnes-Homer and Mendy secured victory against the Red Rebels who play two leagues below The Conference.

Macc fielded a starting XI of Cronin, Jackson, Braham-Barrett, Mendy, Brown, Charnock, Mackreth, Murtagh, Barnes-Homer, Fairhurst (Waide) and Winn.

Their bench included 30 year-old Congolese trialist Tresor Kandol who Bulls' fans may recall from his Barnet days.  Kandol also had a couple of seasons at Leeds United before spending time in Spain playing for Spanish second division club Albacete.

The Bulls' management are believed to have been represented at the game.
