Martin Foyle has said that the players who were at Edgar Street last season 'owe Macclesfield one' after they hammered the Bulls 4-0 last season.
"The players that were here last season owe Macclesfield one for when they hammered us 4-0," said Foyle as reported by the Worcester News.
However the Hereford United manager is well aware that the Silkmen will be no push-over.
"They have had a big turn-around of players and I think they will be in the top eight.
"It's a good game for us because we are at home and on television. Straight away the players are in the limelight and teams will get a good look at us.
"We need to make a steady start and keep clean sheets like we did in pre-season but we need to improve in the final third.
"But it's all about what we do over 46 games. It's not about the start because sometimes that can put more pressure on you."
