Macclesfield manager Steve King has spoken to their official site ahead of tonight's match.
He told them: "They are a big, strong side, they are very well organised, and
I think it's going to be a battle. We'll be going up there to give it
our best shot to try and win the game."
"I
went to see them last week and have a good idea of what they are all
about, so we know what to expect, an we are going to be well prepared
and ready for them."
"I
hope it doesn't turn out to be an anti-climax now. But as I've said all
summer, I only go out to try and win games. We won't be going to try
and stop them, or playing spoiling tactics. Hopefully the fans will get to see that this evening, and it would be a great start to the season to come away with a win."
Meanwhile, the Silkmen have added former Crewe man Carl Martin to their squad. The 25 year old was a semi-regular for Crewe's defence last season, but was released in the summer. Also added is former York midfielder Scott Brown. The 27 year old also numbers Cheltenham and Morecambe amongst his clubs.
