I'd Like to be Flirting with the Play-offs says Keyte

David Keyte is hopeful that the coming season can bring some joy to both staff, players and supporters after a difficult two years. The Hereford United chairman has, along with some other directors, had to 'loan' the club some money recently to help the club with both player's wages and the refurbishment of the Starlite Rooms.

Luckily most of the players with high wages have left, the Starlite Rooms are bringing in much needed cash and season tickets sales have been reasonable, so the club will start the new season hopeful that it's finances will improve.

But perhaps even more important will be some success on the pitch.

"I'd like to be flirting with the play-offs,"Keyte told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"Top eight, still in with a chance into the New Year.

"The FA Trophy final at Wembley.

"That would give a bit back to the fans who have come along in the past four or five years in particular and suffered.

"That would do for starters."
