Hereford United get their season underway this evening at Edgar Street with a fixture against Macclesfield, kick-off 7.30pm.
It will be the Bulls' first game back in the Conference after they were relegated from League Two last May.
Recently appointed manager Martin Foyle has a small squad to work with after two seasons when spending was higher then income.
Indeed he has still got ten players from last season in the squad - Joe Heath, Michael Townsend, James McQuilken, Harry Pell, Simon Clist, Benoit Dalibard, Sam Clucas, Stefan Stam, Will Evans and Dan Hanford - so it's not quite 'his' squad.
However Foyle appears to have brought in a number of players that look as though they could enhance the squad. In particular captain Luke Graham in the heart of defence looks a useful signing.
This evening Foyle should have all of his squad available with the exception of keeper James Bittner who has a bad back. Obviously he needs a win, but it would be even better if it's an exciting game given there should be a reasonable gate.
With a warm summer evening in prospect what could be better than a pint or two and a game of football. There's nothing like being there and soaking in the atmosphere.
