Former Bulls boss Richard O'Kelly has publically backed Sean O'Driscoll after he was named as Crawley boss, but it appears the pair will not be reunited.
Speaking to Sussex paper The Argus, O'Kelly said: “I think it is an excellent appointment.
“Crawley are just two years out of the Conference so to get a manager
with the quality and credentials Sean has shows they are very ambitious
and doing things the right way.
“Sean was successful at both Bournemouth and Doncaster, and also in
the short space of time he was at Nottingham Forest, so I have no doubt
he will be successful at Crawley too."
The former striker was reported to have had a number of job offers available after turning down the Bulls job, but suggestions that he would resume his role as O'Driscoll's no.2 now appear wide of the mark.
