Shots Make Striker Signing

Aldershot have signed striker Wilko Risser on a short term deal ahead of tomorrow's game with the Bulls.

The Namibian international has had trials with the likes of Southend and Swindon since his brother Oliver signed for the Robins in the summer. The 29 year old has been a part of the Namibian setup for the last five years after starting his career in the German lower leagues, most recently playing in Malta.

He is one of three players expected to make their debuts for the Shots in tomorrow's match. Stevenage loanee Darren Murphy joined Dean Holdsworth's men on Friday, while ex-Bull Ben Smith has seen the first two matches of his loan spell frozen out. The Shots played their last match at the end of January.

Holdsworth has no new injury problems to report. Striker Michael Rankine and midfielder Alex Rodman are out for the season, while teenage loanee defender Sonny Bradley has extended his stay from Hull for another month.
