The Bulls travel to the Recreation Ground tomorrow night for a Valentines love-in with Aldershot Town.
The 2-0 win Aldershot had at Edgar Street in September was their first ninety minute win over the Bulls since the club went bust twenty years ago. Before that, the Bulls had won eight and drawn five of the other encounters, although one of those draws ended in a penalty loss in that play-off game.
Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth scouted the Bulls on Saturday with their own match frozen out. Goals have been a problem for the Shots this season. While the Bulls have netted a fairly low 28 times, the Shots have only 26 - and just ten goals from thirteen home matches to make them the lowest scorers in the division. Apart from top scorer Danny Hylton, no current Shots player has scored more than two League goals and the last of his nine League strikes came thirteen games ago.
The Bulls visit the Rec defending a four match unbeaten run on the road. With eight points from twelve since November's loss at Crewe, confidence will be high for additional points on Tuesday especially after a battling draw with Cheltenham at the weekend. Jamie Pitman has extended his forward options with Bournemouth striker Lyle Taylor debuting on Saturday, although many fans are wondering quite what Nathan Elder has done to be left out completely after several hard working performances.
