Some of their supporters think it shows the FA Cup replay between West Ham and Hereford United in 1972.
It was played midweek (as Cup replays always were) and started early because of the general strike which meant that power saving measures were in existence (so floodlights weren’t an option). I bunked off school too and probably the only game I’ve been to where my feet didn’t touch the ground for most of it. And I didn’t see a bloody thing either.
I’m guessing official attendance would have been about 42K but there were many, many more in there that afternoon.
Any thoughts? For example is it the correct away kit for the Bulls in 1972?
