Preview: Dagenham vs Bulls

The Bulls travel to the Barking and Dagenham Stadium on Saturday to face fellow relegation fighters Dagenham and Redbridge.

It will be a chance for the Bulls to claim their first double of the season, having won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in September, with Sam Winnall's late strike seperating the two sides. It was the first win over the Daggers in five attempts, while the Bulls have lost their last three trips to Dagenham since Andy Williams gave the Bulls a 1-0 win just over six years ago.

The Daggers lie a point behind the Bulls after putting behind them a run of nine straight losses. Back to back wins at home to Barnet and Gillingham have been sandwiched by away draws at Southend and Burton to pull the Daggers back from odds-on relegation candidates. Such was their run of form that from the day they lost to the Bulls on 3rd September they only won only three points from a possible 45. Their turnaround in form coincides with the arrival of West Ham forward Cristian Montano, who has scored three times in his six games so far.

The Bulls travel to the South East having earned points from five of their last seven road trips. Last time out they upset the odds in beating Burton 2-0, with the forward intent of Delroy Facey, Yoann Arquin, and Tom Barkhuizen netting seven of the last eight goals for the Bulls. Quite which personnel will be deployed is anyone's guess, with Pitman and Peters waiting on their appeal against Benoit Dalibard's red card. If that is unsuccessful, Joe Heath could return to the XI in the left back role, or Simon Clist could drop back from his recent central midfield stint. The fitness of Ryan Green will also be keenly watched. If anyone is to successfully ping a long diagonal ball then the Welshman is top of the list.

Dagenham & Redbridge vs Hereford United, Barking and Dagenham Stadium, Saturday 14th January, 3.00pm.
