Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman has spoken about the signing of striker Delroy Facey.
"We are delighted to have him on-board," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It's something that perhaps we missed when we lost Mattie [Mathieu Manset to Reading] where we needed that sort of striker to give us something different.
"He comes with an abundance of experience and he has played at a good level.
"He does work hard and does a job for the team and hopefully he will score a few more goals than he has done in recent years.
"That hopefully will come with the style that we are going to be trying to play but we are absolutely delighted to have him here."
Later in the interview Pitman confirmed that he had spoken to former Oldham striker Lewis Alessandra who has since signed for Morecambe.
"I had a chat with him but he's decided to stay up north where his roots are.
"I have to work within a budget, I can only give players certain amounts of money."
