News Round-Up

Morecambe have announced the signing of Macclesfield defender Izak Reid on a two year deal. The 23 year old has played professionally for the Silkmen for the last five years and, if the two clubs cannot agree, a fee will be decided by a tribunal. Swindon have offered coach Paul Bodin an improved contract in the wake of Torquay's attempts to lure him to Plainmoor as Martin Ling's assistant.

Crewe striker Clayton Donaldson's agent has told the press Donaldson will not be staying in League Two. The Railwaymen, Crawley, and Bradford had all confirmed interest in the 26 goal forward, but he will play no lower than League One next term. Plymouth's Administrator has confirmed that Truro owner Kevin Heaney is advising the Irish consortium set to buy the club, but has no financial stake in the deal due to his involvement with the Conf South side.

Kettering's fans have voted in the majority to move to Rushden's Nene Park home if the Diamonds fold. A meeting last night was told that Nene Park owner Keith Cousins had already approached Poppies chairman Imraan Ladak about a move. The Poppies have just two years left on their current lease, with the owners wanting a substantial rent increase. Rushden have been accepted into the Zamaretto (Southern) League, providing they survive their winding up order currently slated for July 4th.
