Despite rumours over the last couple of days suggesting Rob Purdie's time at Edgar Street is up, he has told his Twitter followers he is due to speak to the club this week.
With the former Leicester trainee on 199 starts for the Bulls he has told his 500 Twitter followers that he is expecting to talk contracts in the next few days. He tweeted on Saturday: "after the last 2 yrs I've had I couldn't have wished for a better 6 months at a club I like n with lej friends"
Purdie, now 28, originally joined the Bulls from Leicester in 2002, filling virtually every on-pitch role except goalkeeper during his initial five year spell at Edgar Street. He joined Darlington in 2007, and followed manager Dave Penney to Oldham two years later only for injury to wreck 18 months of his career.
Meanwhile, BN understands that Tyler Weir has been offered a contract and is expected to sign on the dotted very soon.
