Here's a reminder about one of the events to take place at Edgar Street, the home of Hereford United this summer.
The Million Pennies Campaign was set up following a meeting of maths teachers from Herefordshire Primary Schools led by Will Davies from Burghill.
The idea is for the children to collect as many pennies as possible and then lay then side by side on the Edgar Street pitch.
The money raised will be split between St. Michael’s Hospice, Hereford and a forces charity The Operational Casualties Fund.
The campaign has caught the imagination of not only primary schools but other establishments as well. This coming week, for example, the Hereford sixth form college will have a 'mobile collection box' for students to put their pennies into.
The event will be held on Saturday July 9th.
