At Tuesday evening's AGM, the Directors of Macclesfield Town confirmed a loss of £267k in the last trading period.
Explaining the loss, Chairmen Mike Rance blamed a significant reduction in turnover primarily due to lack of success in Cup competitions. The losses had been, to some extent, offset by a reduction in operating costs and further alterations to the business plan had been made and budgets agreed for the 15th year in The League.
It was noted that, unlike many other League clubs, the accounts showed no liabilities for unpaid tax.
