Colin Addison have given his thoughts on the season just ended, the new team in charge at Edgar Street, and his thoughts for the future.
"I think it has gone very, very well for Jamie," the former Hereford United manager told BN.
"I'm delighted for him. I know him well and we have a little chat from time to time through the season. If he wants a little bit of advice I've offered it.
"Delighted for him, delighted for his staff and for our new chairman and vice-chairman, David and Tim, and Grenville of course.
"Next season we'll see Jamie's team, his own team. I'm looking forward to that.
"Delighted the club has stayed up. It's been a long difficult season for them, for everybody really, for players, management and directors. And as we all know we only had the one game to spare."
Addison is no stranger to the main stand at Edgar Street.
"I've watched quite a few matches this season. Not all of them. I still watch a lot of football up and down the country.
"I've been made very welcome by chairman David Keyte and vice-chairman Tim Russon and director Grenville Smith.
"It's always very nice to go down. I've always supported Hereford United no matter who has been in charge. It's nice to meet a lot of old friends, people I've known for many many years."
Addison was asked if he felt the club had changed direction since the new regime had taken over.
"There's a nice warm feeling about the club. I've seen a lot of supporters back this season that I haven't seen for a long time.
"And they have been encouraged to come back.
"We're at Hay on Wye today and I remember when bus-loads of supporters used to come in the good old days in the early 70's when we had cup runs and promotions.
"Let's hope we can do all that again.
"There was a lot of support from Hay, Kington, Leominster and Ledbury and I think that will start to trickle back because it's being embraced by the club.
"They want to give the club back to the supporters, they want them to be more involved."
