The Bulls travel to the Don Valley Stadium to face Rotherham in a League Two game on Saturday.
The two sides had been paired in the same division only four times over more than 30 years before Rotherham's more recent financial problems. We've shared the same division three times in four seasons now, losing only once in five meetings so far. That came in August when the Bulls huffed and puffed but couldn't find an equaliser to veteran striker Paul Warne's first half goal. The Bulls' only previous trip to Don Valley was 18 months ago, when a late Gavin McCallum goal saved a precious point for John Trewick's men.
The Millers are on the verge of messing up their promotion hopes after oddly sacking Ronnie Moore whilst the club was in a play-off place. It came just weeks after they ended a year-long chase for his son, Ian Thomas-Moore, by signing the veteran striker. Since Moore's departure they won only one match, against free-falling Lincoln, and have lost home matches to both Shrewsbury and Morecambe. At their temporary Don Valley base they are four games without a win. Top scorer Adam Le Fondre has been left on the bench at times in recent weeks, but the arrival of new boss Andy Scott could see changes all round after a disappointing month in charge for Andy Liddell.
The Bulls travel north for an overnight stop without Dan Stratford, who has returned to the US for a family emergency. Adam Bartlett is closing in on appearing in every League match for the second season running. The former Kiddy man has missed starting only one League game since arriving at Edgar Street, and managed to come off the bench when Chris Adamson was dismissed in that match.
Rotherham United vs Hereford United, Don Valley Stadium, Saturday 16th April, 3.00pm.
