Dillon praises Pitman

In advance of their trip to Edgar Street, Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon has spoken about Jamie Pitman becoming care-taker manager at Hereford.

"They've had a couple of fantastic results beating Northampton and then 5-0 away from home at the weekend," Dillon told BBC Sport.

"It's been an amazing turnaround. You've got to give credit to the manager.

"There seems to be a phase now where physio turn into managers - the lad at Tranmere, the manager at Southampton and now the manager at Hereford, it's amazing.

"I don't think Jamie would have expected to be in charge. But that's football for you. It's a strange game.

"He's probably got a great relationship with the players having been a physio. He'll understand them and you've got to say well done Jamie.

"Hopefully he'll get the job. It he continues to do what he is doing there's no reason he shouldn't.

"Then he'll have to get a physio."
