Former Hereford United midfielder Glen Southam has been made captain of Barnet. He takes over from another former Bull Anwar Uddin who wants to concentrate on his game.
Bees manager Mark Stimson said that 30 year old Southam would be very capable of doing a good job in the role.
Southam was told he was free to leave Edgar Street in mid-October last year. A week later he joined Bishop's Stortford.
In February he joined Histon on an 18 month contract which he tore up at the end of last season. Then in June he joined Barnet.
