The Bulls entertain Accrington in a League Two match at Edgar Street on Saturday.
Saturday's match will be the seventh between the sides in League competition, more than they played in the Conference. Stanley are yet to record a victory at Edgar Street in seven previous efforts. Their closest attempt to secure all three points came in March 2006, when they led 2-0 with a David Brown effort and Tamika Mkandawire's own goal. The Bulls claimed a 2-2 draw after Danny Ventre was sent off with 19 minutes remaining and Stuart Fleetwood pulled one back before Nicky Nicolau claimed a last minute equaliser.
The Bulls are a different team under Jamie Pitman who, unlike his predecessor, has a string of apparently in-form strikers to choose from. Fleetwood's two goal effort on Saturday will put him in line for a starting berth while Sean Canham, with two goals in three League games, returns from suspension. Mathieu Manset marked his first appearance in three games with a goal, while Guillem Bauza racked up a string of assists with his mesmerising talent.
Accrington's claims to be a League side are expected to be short lived by the bookies every season, and every time they've upset the odds and punched above their weight - even threatening a play-off charge from time to time. This season they have been two different sides, scoring 16 times at home but only twice away. They have claimed three goalless draws on the road, scoring in only one of six trips to League Two sides. On that occasion, at Stockport three weeks ago, they again let a two goal lead slip late on.
